My Philosophy.

Every day you have the opportunity to think, speak and act in a way that supports your highest vision for your life. I believe you can have it all and love it all through the highs and lows of life, if you do the work while knowing you are worthy of love, connection, and success. My purpose in this life is to support others in manifesting their very own kick ass journey through life, with a foundation in wellness. I help others to create a roadmap to define, construct and refine their ideal life. I’ll assist you in finding your unique balance to live fully, while having a good time along the way!

My Story

I grew up in a small town outside of Boston. As a child, and into my teenage years, I was a competitive gymnast. During that time, I developed my sense of body awareness, became fascinated with the human body, and my love for physical activity was born. So, it’s no surprise that I wound up teaching yoga and showing others how to connect to their body through movement and breath.

Growing up, my mother struggled with depression and alcoholism. Watching her suffer, and being a child not knowing how to help, was painful for me. She passed away when I was 13. I was never able to see her overcome her challenges and live in good health. Today, my mother serves as my greatest inspiration to support others in finding balance, peace and vitality in this often chaotic and arduous life. I believe that anyone can overcome their own obstacles to optimal health, through self-awareness, obtaining the right tools and finding excellent support on their wellness journey. It’s my personal mission to help others learn the tools to heal from within, and sustain a healthy lifestyle.

My Bio.

Alyssa Brown is Health Educator, Yoga Instructor & Wellness Coach, located in San Diego, CA. She has years of experience in the health & wellness industry, guiding others toward better health. She is the author of Yoga for Joint Health , the Live Well Now Healthy Habits Journal , and the Yoga for Athletes App. From 2014 – 2017 she served as Health Promotion Strategist coordinating preventative wellness initiatives and educational curriculum for the US Navy & Marines in Southern California. She is an online health coach, teaches weekly yoga classes, and facilitates wellness workshops in San Diego. Prior to that, she was a manager at CorePower Yoga after spending years working in Corporate America as an Accounts Manager.

She holds a BSBA from the University of Central Florida in Finance, studied Exercise Science at the University of California San Diego and is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

Alyssa is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) through Yoga Alliance and has studied yoga since 1998. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Indoor Cycling Instructor. She also serves as an Ambassador for the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and for The One Love Movement, a non-profit that utilizes yoga to raise money to support underprivileged youth worldwide.

Alyssa is a champion for the health & wellness of others. She hopes all her students will live with passion, love wholeheartedly, laugh often, and thrive every day. When Alyssa isn’t teaching others, she’s traveling the world, listening to live music, skiing or spending time with her favorite people (and animals).
